    Certified Health Care Aide (HCA)

    Position Overview: As a Certified Health Care Aide at Calgary Cares Community Services, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily living activities and personal care needs of our clients. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist clients with personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
    • Support clients with mobility and physical exercises.
    • Monitor and report changes in clients' health status.
    • Provide companionship and emotional support.
    • Assist with meal preparation and feeding.
    • Ensure a clean and safe living environment.

    Qualifications:

    • Certification as a Health Care Aide (HCA) in Alberta.
    • Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
    • Recent police check.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.

    Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

    Position Overview: As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Calgary Cares Community Services, you will be responsible for providing practical nursing care to clients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your role will involve a combination of direct patient care, coordination of services, and collaboration with the healthcare team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
    • Monitor and document clients' health conditions and progress.
    • Assist with medical procedures and wound care.
    • Educate clients and their families on health management.
    • Coordinate care plans and collaborate with the healthcare team.
    • Participate in the assessment and evaluation of clients' health needs.

    Qualifications:

    • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification in Alberta.
    • Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
    • Recent police check.
    • Excellent clinical and assessment skills.
    • Strong organizational and communication abilities.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Registered Nurse (RN)

    Position Overview: As a Registered Nurse at Calgary Cares Community Services, you will be at the forefront of delivering high-quality nursing care to our clients. You will utilize your advanced clinical skills and expertise to assess, plan, and implement care strategies that promote the health and well-being of individuals and families.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop care plans.
    • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions.
    • Provide leadership and supervision to other healthcare staff.
    • Educate clients and families on disease prevention and health maintenance.
    • Coordinate and manage complex care needs.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.

    Qualifications:

    • Registered Nurse (RN) certification in Alberta.
    • Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
    • Recent police check.
    • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
